A powerful westerly weather system is expected to enter northern Pakistan on the night of November 3 and continue until November 5, bringing rain, hailstorms, and early winter conditions to several parts of the country.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, and Peshawar, as well as in Kurram, Orakzai, Hangu, and Kohat. Higher mountain regions in Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive snowfall, signaling the start of the winter season.
In the plains, cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Jhelum, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, and Lahore are also forecast to experience rain, hail, and gusty winds. As a result, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to drop sharply across the country.
