Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and France forward Ousmane Dembélé capped off a dream season by winning the 2025 Men’s Ballon d’Or at a glittering ceremony in Paris on Monday night.
The 28-year-old edged out Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal and PSG teammate Vitinha to claim football’s most prestigious individual honour. Dembélé’s campaign included a UEFA Champions League triumph, PSG’s first in history, where he was named Player of the Season, alongside a domestic double. His staggering 37 goals and 15 assists underpinned the Paris club’s dominance.

Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí lifted the Women’s Ballon d’Or for a record third consecutive year, reaffirming her status as the standout player in the women’s game.
The ceremony at Théâtre du Châtelet was a night of accolades for PSG, with Gianluigi Donnarumma winning the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper, while Luis Enrique was honoured with the Johan Cruyff Trophy as best coach. PSG were also named Men’s Club of the Year.
Other major winners included Yamal, who scooped the Kopa Trophy as best young player, Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres with the Gerd Müller Trophy after a stunning 63-goal season, and England’s Hannah Hampton, who won the Women’s Yashin Trophy.
