LAHORE — Pakistani cinema’s most celebrated duo, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, launched the inaugural musical track from their highly anticipated romantic drama Neelofar during an exclusive gathering at Lahore’s historic Sir Ganga Ram House on a picturesque autumn evening.
The intimate event marked a significant milestone for the film, scheduled for nationwide release on November 28, as industry luminaries witnessed the unveiling of the soulful composition performed by Vicky Haider. The venue’s timeless architecture provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating this emotional cinematic journey.
Co-hosted by Yasir Hussain, the soirée attracted Pakistan’s entertainment elite, including Seemi Raheel, HAVI, Nameer Khan, Zeb Bangash, Mooroo, and Ken Doll. Distinguished designers, socialites, and emerging artists gathered to experience the film’s musical essence firsthand.
The unveiled track opens with the evocative verse “Tu Meri Zindagi Aik Naya Rang Hai,” serving as the emotional cornerstone of the narrative. This poetic composition encapsulates Neelofar’s core theme—a love story transcending physical sight through profound emotional connection.
The film features Fawad as Mansoor Ali Khan opposite Mahira’s portrayal of Neelofar, a visually impaired yet luminous character. Their on-screen romance has already garnered acclaim as one of Pakistani cinema’s most touching narratives in recent memory.
Reflecting on the project, Fawad shared that the song represents the film’s emotional pulse, while Mahira emphasized the deeply personal nature of the story, describing it as love in its most authentic form.
Written and directed by Ammar Rasool, Neelofar is produced by Fawad Khan, Hassaan Khalid, and Usaf Shariq. The stellar ensemble includes Madiha Imam, Samiya Mumtaz, Faisal Qureshi, Behroze Sabzwari, Gohar Rasheed, and Adeel Hashmi among others, promising a memorable cinematic experience.
