GILGIT: Seven volunteers were killed and three others injured when a landslide struck during repair work in Daniyor Nullah, rescue officials said.
According to Rescue 1122, ten volunteers were working to restore a water channel damaged by recent floods when the incident occurred.
The injured were shifted to PHQ Hospital Gilgit. Rescue operations are under way.

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Gulbar Khan has expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the Daniyor Nullah incident that claimed seven lives.
The chief minister announced that compensation will be given to the families of those killed. He directed officials to ensure better medical facilities for the injured.
He said the government stands with the grieving families and will provide all possible assistance to the victims.
