Google announced on Thursday that students in Pakistan aged 18 and above can now access a free one-year subscription to its AI Pro plan.
According to the company’s press release, the initiative aims to help students enhance their learning, research, and creativity using advanced AI tools at no cost.
The Gemini AI Pro Plan provides access to Google’s most powerful AI features, including the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, which supports deep research for assignments, projects, and creative work.
Students will also benefit from AI integration across Google apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet, enabling them to summarise emails, create study presentations, and analyse data efficiently.
Additionally, they will receive access to NotebookLM — an AI-powered research and writing assistant — along with enhanced tools for generating videos from text or photos, such as Veo 3 and Flow.
The package also includes 2 terabytes of cloud storage on Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos to securely save notes, projects, and academic materials.
According to the company, this offer is part of Google’s mission to equip students with AI tools that foster learning and creativity. The plan is now available in several Asia-Pacific countries, including Pakistan, and eligible university students are invited to register for free access for one year.
